My Story
A lifelong Alaskan, I was born in Juneau and lived in Northway and Anchorage before moving back to Juneau in 1993. I graduated from Juneau Douglas High School in 1996.
Over the years, I have had a diverse career path while also taking courses at the University of Alaska Southeast. I worked for the State of Alaska as a secretary to a director in the Department of Labor and later as a human resource specialist for the Department of Administration. I also served as a human resource technician for the Juneau School District before deciding to stay home with my two young children during their early elementary school years. During that time, I dedicated myself to volunteering in their classrooms several times a week. In 2013, my husband and I started our own plumbing and heating business, which we have continued to grow successfully.
I love living in Juneau and raising my family here. Outside of running our business, my family and I enjoy fishing, boating, hiking, camping, and all the outdoor activities that Southeast Alaska has to offer.

I believe my previous experience will offer the school board a well-rounded perspective that benefits students, teachers and parents, as well as the administration. I want to ensure that our schools provide a strong foundation for future generations.
